Welcome

So, for those of you who followed my work on dA some such other site, you've probably already been told what this blog will be about.

For those of you who don't know me, are just randomly popping in, or are here for some other reason, my name is Kigai. I am a fantasy/anthro/wildlife artist who's current gallery can be seen here: on DeviantArt.

This blog will be following my newest project, attempting to do a piece of art, from a sketch to a fully colored piece, every day for a month. My work, as you may have seen, or will see on deviantArt, is not extraordinary, and I want to make it better. This is my attempt at such a feat.

I've realized that the artsy part of me is spread out a little too thin, disallowing me to progress in any of the artistic fields with speed. I do a lot of artwork (drawing, painting, etc.) as most of you probably well know, but I also do a lot of writing, filming, and playing/writing music.

For many years I've tried to maintain all of these arts at the same time, when a wise man told me it was best to FOCUS my attempts in one field at a time. So I developed these challenges to myself to do just that. For thirty days, beginning September 1st, I will attempt to produce one piece of art, and display and write about my experiences here in this blog.

I'll also be doing other 30 day art forms in future months following this, and will probably repeat this challenge again with a twist in a few months after the commencement of this one. In other words, September will be focusing on my physical artwork, October will probably focus on my story writing, and November will probably focus on Music. In December I may do another artwork focused challenge, but with a twist to the challenge that I have yet to figure out.

Other art forms may have blogs to them as well, but under a different name, as each art form is a completely different world with me, and I have different sorts of people interested in my work depending on the art form.

SO! With all that said, I hope you follow my experiences in this experiment, and hopefully I'll start posting on September 1st!
